This ambitious consulting start-up, specialized in the digitalization of factories, is looking for a Lab Digital Transformation Specialist to strengthen its team. Their mission? Preparing companies for the future by harnessing the full power of Data & AI. They guide clients from start to finish in implementing innovative Data & AI solutions within industrial environments.
One of their clients in the pharmaceutical sector is undertaking an ambitious digitalization project for their laboratories (quality for production and R&D). The goal is to fully digitize industrial processes, capture structured data, integrate all machines, and enable analyses.
JOB DESCRIPTION :
You will work largely independently on developing and documenting laboratory processes. You act as the bridge between the lab business and digital technology, translating business needs into concrete technical solutions.
- Analyze existing lab processes and document documents, equipment, and workflows.
- Support the refinement of the three-year roadmap into a detailed project plan.
- Identify which applications need to be purchased, adapted, or removed, and advise on software requirements.
- Ensure all machines and data are integrated into a central data model.
- Create functional designs and perform Business Process Modelling of laboratory processes.
- Gather requirements by asking the right questions and guiding stakeholders.
- Document processes and analyses in Word, Visio, or PowerPoint.
- Coordinate with lab managers at each site to ensure complete end-to-end documentation.
- Work towards this year’s goal: a detailed roadmap; next year, focus on implementing the digitalization.
PROFILE:
- You hold a higher education degree.
- You have at least 5 years of relevant work experience.
- You have experience in laboratories, preferably in R&D or production.
- You have strong knowledge of lab business processes and experience with digitalization and technological integrations.
- You have experience in roadmap development and project planning in a technical environment.
- Practical knowledge of tools such as Python, Power Apps, or similar digital solutions is a plus (programming is not required).
- You possess strong analytical and communication skills, can work independently, and think in a project-oriented way.
- You are proficient in English; knowledge of French and Dutch is a strong advantage.
