A leading international company, active in manufacturing and based in Antwerp, is looking for a Data Platform Engineer. Their products and services are widely used across various sectors, including electronics, healthcare, food production, and sustainable energy, demonstrating how their technologies contribute to diverse industries and innovations.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The company is currently undertaking a major project to merge teams and consolidate all data platforms, with the goal of implementing a data mesh architecture.
As a Data Platform Engineer, you are responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving the data platform. Your skills contribute to the continuous enhancement of the platform, ensuring that raw data is effectively transformed into valuable data products used across the entire organization. You work closely with various teams to understand their needs, enabling the platform to optimally support a wide range of data projects.

PROFILE:

• You hold a master's degree.
• You have experience in cloud administration, preferable in Azure. 
• You bring strong expertise in Databricks. 
• You have several years of experience as a software or data engineer, with a focus on building and maintaining data platforms.
• You have a solid understanding of DevOps practices. 
• You are familiar with data mesh principles, and experience with implementing or working within a data mesh architecture is an advantage.
• You are proficient in English.
